Exploring Chania’s Old Venetian Harbour
Greece | Our guide to Chania’s Old Venetian Harbour; an idyllic waterfront reflecting Crete’s unique, diverse cultural history…
The harboured ships that fritter away, slowly begin to rot and decay. Never has there been a greater waste of a day, than that spent harbored, than those of us who stay."
Gael Attal, Poet
A diverse continent home to 742 million people, Europe is a wonderful melting pot of cultures, languages and people with a fascinating history on both a local, national and continental level.
It’s also home to my favourite city in the world – Rome, a location I loved due to it’s history, cuisine and style.
I have always enjoyed exploring different countries in Europe and have ambitions to explore more of Central and Eastern Europe in years to come.
Having spent some time in Slovenia, I’d love to return to that part of the continent to visit some of the neighbouring countries including Hungary, Croatia and Bosnia.
Not to forget my own country, the United Kingdom, that is the world’s tenth largest tourist destination with over 36 million visitors a year.
Sometimes, we’re so intent on exploring the rest of the world that we forget the beauty on our own doorstep.
The UK is home to some wonderful locations that will feature alongside my international adventures.
